Digital Mammographic Image Database

The Digital Mammographic Image Database (DMIDB) is a resource for the medical imaging researchers and the medical specialists community. It's a collaborative effort made by the National University (UNA) and Costa Rican Social Security's System.  The main purpose of the database is to facilitate academic research in Computer Vision and medical imaging screening. A secondary purpose of the database is the development of Machine Learning Algorithms dedicated to object detection and diagnosis. The database and all its resources are maintained and hosted by the UNA´s School of Informatics and Computing as an Open Source project to keep it accessible to researchers worldwide.
